NCGA Match Play League Information Website

Hello Windsor Men’s Golf Club (WMGC) members! 

It is Saturday League Team Match time of the year again!

Team Match Program is a competition between players that belong to regular NCGA member clubs. Each team is made up of 12 players. Matches use a format where two players from one side face off against two players from an opposing side in four-ball and individual matches concurrently, with players earning two points for a win and one point for a tie. All players will use their current handicap index (maximum of 18.4) for calculation of their course handicap. Players with a current handicap index higher than 18.4 are eligible to compete but must play to the 18.4 maximum.  Click the link  above for more information.

Last year, WMGC was grouped with Bodega Bay, Sea Ranch and Foxtail. Groupings have not been released yet. WMGC will play two matches with each course, one at home and the other at their course. Match play dates are expected to take place as listed below but could change depending on the number of teams we are paired with and courses availability. The first tee time is usually scheduled around 12:00pm

 A requirement is that the home course team host the visiting team. Therefore, the visitor’s green fees, cart fees and food and beverage costs must be paid by WMGC. To help cover those costs WMGC will collect $150 per team member. WMGC team members will also be responsible for their green fees at Windsor.

In the case we make the playoffs (as we did last year), playoff matches extend into October and the finals will be played on October 28 & 29 at Poppy Hills.
